Managed Hosting Details
All clients receive the following managed maintenance services:
Daily backup of website files and database – this is stored redundantly in both my data center and remote online storage. My data center keeps backups for 7 days. Remote backup storage is maintained for 90 days
Server level security protection – I do not use a security plugin, instead my data center operates security on all my virtual servers and as I mentioned, with the few hacks we’ve experienced, the websites were quarantined and threats mitigated far ahead of any manifestation.
Website Application Firewall via .htaccess – this filters out the majority of spam bots that like to crawl websites and look for non-obfuscated contact information
Weekly database optimization
Vetted weekly update administration for WordPress Core (Updates are applied and then the website is tested for appearance and functionality – If issues present themselves, the updates are rolled back to the previous version)
Vetted weekly update administration for Themes (Updates are applied and then the website is tested for appearance and functionality – If issues present themselves, the updates are rolled back to the previous version)
Vetted weekly update administration for Plugins (Updates are applied and then the website is tested for appearance and functionality – If issues present themselves, the updates are rolled back to the previous version)
Vulnerable updates applied within 24 hours (usually a much shorter time frame)
